How we handle your information

Last updated: 28 October 2026

Who we are

Dynamic Support WA ("we", "us") provides mentoring, group programs and support for young men with disabilities aged 13 to 25 in Perth, Western Australia. We take the privacy of the young men we support, and their families, seriously. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we look after it, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you make an enquiry (through our website forms, by phone or by email), we may collect your name, phone number, email address, your son's name and age, how his NDIS plan is managed, his goals and anything else you choose to tell us.

When we support a young man, we may also collect his date of birth, address, NDIS number and plan details, emergency contacts, information about his disability, health, medications and support needs, his goals and progress, and notes our staff write after each session.

Information about health and disability is "sensitive information" under the Privacy Act. We only collect it with consent, and only when we need it to provide safe, appropriate support.

When you use our website, we and our service providers collect information such as pages visited, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. See "Our website, cookies and advertising" below.

How we collect it

Usually directly from you or the young man we support. We may also receive information from others with your consent, such as a support coordinator, plan manager, school or other provider who refers him to us.

Why we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and work out whether our support suits him
  • To plan, deliver and review his supports, and keep him safe
  • To match him with the right mentor and group
  • To invoice and claim for supports through his plan manager or the family
  • To meet our legal and NDIS obligations
  • To improve our services and website, and to let families know about our programs

Who we share it with

We only share personal information when we need to, and only with:

  • His plan manager, support coordinator or other providers, with consent
  • Our staff and mentors who support him, on a need-to-know basis
  • Service providers who help us run our business, such as our client management system (ShiftCare), email and file storage (Google Workspace) and accounting software (Xero)
  • Government bodies such as the NDIA or the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, when the law requires it
  • Emergency services, if someone's health or safety is at serious risk

We do not sell personal information.

Some of our service providers store data on servers outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it to a standard consistent with Australian privacy law.

Photos and videos

We sometimes take photos and videos at our programs to share on our website and social media. We only use images of a young man with his consent (and his parent or guardian's consent if he is under 18), and you can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

Our website, cookies and advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar tools, including the Meta Pixel and Google Analytics, to understand how people use the site and to show our ads to people who may be interested in our programs on Facebook and Instagram. These tools may collect information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage how Meta uses your information for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.

How we keep it safe

We store information in secure, password-protected systems, limit access to staff who need it, and train our team in privacy and confidentiality. We keep records for as long as the law and the NDIS require, then destroy or de-identify them securely.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you or the young man you care for. Contact us using the details below and we'll respond within 30 days.
